Engineer Abdullah Salam, CEO of Misr City Company, said that integration is the most important part of sustainability, as it is the element that achieves true sustainability, in addition to the environmental part, the part related to operational expenses, and all aspects related to energy and environmentally friendly materials, as they all represent part of Sustainability, but the most important aspect that many overlook when talking about sustainability, is the complementary elements of society, which help it become an integrated society, which I previously mentioned, so the company actually started during the current year, and its initiative began to appear at the end of last year.

Salam added that the company began investing in educational institutions by establishing a company specializing in sports and education with the participation of specialists in this matter, because sustainability is very important for the company, and so that it can apply the model of participation in a specific project within the rest of the projects, and therefore the company is currently focusing on the non-profit part. It established the “Tajd” project, the company’s first administrative commercial project, and launched it in Saray and Taj City, and it will continue in the rest of the projects. It also launched a sports club and a school associated with it, in addition to opening a school last year, and is currently studying the medical and hotel parts very carefully.

He continued these areas are not a luxury for real estate developers currently, and they must choose their own model according to their goal. There are those who build “boutique hotels” to target a specific class, in addition to villas and others.

Salam explained that the company is currently carefully studying entering into these fields according to its goals. A specific field may require the establishment of a company and specialized management, and this management will be a partner in the project, as happened in the sports field. There is another scenario in the hotel field, either we establish a company... Specialized and we repeat the same scenario, or the company enters into the project as a real estate partner whose role is to provide land to investors specialized in this field, and you may have to combine the two scenarios with each other depending on the size of the project, so we are still studying this matter carefully.
