Prime Minister: The state did not bear any financial burdens to establish the new administrative capital

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said that all new cities are affiliated with the New Urban Communities Authority. This authority’s inherent function is to create cities, and it is the one that established the Administrative Capital, without the state bearing financial burdens.
He added that new cities, such as 6th of October, Sadat, New Cairo, Shorouk, Obour, and Burj Al Arab, were all established under the Urban Communities Authority law.
He explained that the Urban Communities Authority is an economic body, and the economic body does not receive money from the state, and therefore its role is to develop the city and create infrastructure, and after that the private sector enters and invests in the city.
He continued that it is normal for the state to implement huge infrastructure projects, not the private sector, and after planning, places are made available for the private sector to work in. In the Administrative Capital, the government district must be built by the state. The government district was the nucleus of building the Administrative Capital and gave confidence to the private sector to invest.
