The Minister of Housing and the Governor of Cairo are following up on the executive position of the development projects being implemented in Cairo

Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and Major General Khaled Abdel-Al, Governor of Cairo, held a meeting to follow up on the executive position of a number of development projects being implemented in Cairo Governorate, including the “Majar Al-Oyoun Wall Area” development project, the People of Egypt Walk project, and the Azbakeya Park development project. And the Khedivial Cairo development project, in the presence of officials from the ministry and the governorate.
Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar confirmed that the development projects that have been and are being implemented in the city of Cairo aim to raise the level of the city, especially the historical areas, and restore the city of Cairo to its cultural splendor, and enable it to exercise its historical, cultural and tourism role, coinciding with the urban renaissance that Egypt is witnessing during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. , President of the Republic, whether by expanding the urban area by establishing new cities, or by developing existing urban areas.
The Minister of Housing explained that the development project for the “Sur Magra El-Oyoun area” includes the implementation of 79 buildings of different heights, including 1,924 residential units, and 18 commercial units on the ground floor of some buildings. The project also includes the implementation of a commercial, administrative, and entertainment mall, and will be built on an area of 51 thousand square meters. It includes restaurants, cinemas, and other activities, and a garage that can accommodate 1,355 cars, in addition to a main outdoor theater in front of the mall.
The Minister indicated that the second sector of the Masr Promenade project on the Nile Corniche is being implemented, with a length of 3.2 km, and includes the southern part (Qasr El Nil Bridge to the October Bridge - October Bridge to the May 15 Bridge), and the northern part (Imbaba Bridge to the Coast Bridge). It includes a people's walkway with graded levels along the Corniche, 19 buildings (a floating restaurant - 3 cafeterias - 63 commercial stores - 7 service buildings), 9 amphitheaters and two theatres, in addition to site landscaping works, terraces, and water fountains.
He added that the Azbakeya Park development project includes (the lake - the archaeological fountain - the Roman theater - the pergola - the cafeteria - the restaurant - the walls - etc.), and Azbakeya Park is considered one of the most ancient parks in Cairo Governorate. It was implemented in the nineteenth century during the reign of Khedive Ismail, and is being developed. Currently, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership, within the Historic Cairo development projects, in addition to the Khedivial Cairo development project, which includes developing real estate facades and shop facades.
